Sweet Black Rice Bread with Black Sesame Cream Cheese by Tous Les Jours

(For the pictures, I prepared a coffee cup and a small plate. I put the Sweet Black Rice Bread with Black Sesame Cream Cheese in the cup and it looks like an overflowing coffee in Bird's Eye View.)

I came to Tous Les Jours SM North last Saturday (June 9, 2012) to claim my prize, the Rose Inspiration Fresh Cream Cake. Unfortunately, they can't give me the cake because I need to have a confirmation email from Tous Les Jours PH. Anyway, I bought another pastry from them, the Sweet Black Rice Bread with Black Sesame Cream Cheese.

The Looks

It has white powder on the external part and somehow, it made me think of a Bavarian Donut

but the taste of it differs. The bavarian donut is quite too sweet for me while the Sweet Black Rice Cream Cheese is somewhat salty and sweet. Anyway, this pastry has black sesame seeds on top. Well the size of it is similar to the cream cheese pastry.

So, what's in the inner part or the filling? hmmm. Let's see.

I sliced it in the middle... and...

TADAH!

As you can see, it has this creamy filling that looks like an Oreo Mcflurry.

Is that a crushed Oreo Cookie? NO. 

Actually, I don't know what it is made of but I think the filling is mixed with some black sesame seeds, Black Rice that looks like a crushed Oreo Cookie and cream cheese. The Taste

The filling is moist and creamy and it really blends well with the bread but I think the taste of it would be in favor for adults. It's not that sweet like the Cream Cheese Pastry.  

The Price

It costs forty-eight pesos (P48). Tous Les Jours has a buy one take one promo when it's 8:30 in the evening. The promo, I guess, is just a technique to dispose the products because their breads need to be freshly baked. I think that is why they named their bakery Tous Les Jours. Because Tous Les Jours means Everyday.
